Afternoon Tea with Ruffer

We were served delicious afternoon tea at Quod, with Ruffer LLP, in an intimate setting. Treated to scones, sandwiches, cakes and various chocolate delicacies, it was a veritable feast!

Laetitia East, former President of Oxford Women in Business, gave a short talk about Ruffer and her involvement, from graduate to her current position, explaining her lack of experience when she began and her complete enjoyment of the whole process. It was a pleasure to welcome an OxWIB alumna back!

OxWIB members sat around tables with Ruffer representatives, meaning members could talk to a wide range of people, and hear of the experiences of impressive and ambitious women at Ruffer, who each had taken their own path to get to where they were. This meant that members got a fantastic feel for Ruffer as a firm dedicated to the well-being and career growth of their employees, and to the success of their clients through various specific investment strategies. It seemed as though the opportunities at the firm were fantastic, and that the women who came to speak to us were able to progress on the career ladder quickly. All the members felt that there were potential opportunities in this business for their futures. Overall an afternoon well spent, and OxWIB members left impressed by this growing firm, with company merchandise and our stomachs full of goodness.
